Just for fun

For those of you who were anxiously waiting, Barney the Beagle is at a new home. Thank goodness for Craigslist. I seriously didn't think he'd find a home that fast. I placed an ad last week and he was gone that night, and I think it will be a really good home for him. He was adopted by a nice couple who were tickled to death to get him.

Now just for fun, I thought I'd post a few Blake pics. I still haven't gone through all of the photos from our trip to IL for Grandpa's funeral. I haven't really been ready too look at them yet, still a little too sad. Even though it was really wonderful to see all the family while we were up there.

This one is of Blake his Great-grandma and Vance. I just got such a kick out of his big cheesy smile.

And I realize this photo probably only really means something to me. It is Blake sound asleep in his Aunt Kelly's bed. At one point all I had were sleeping baby pictures, now all I have is action shots. I've been trying to sneak in and snap a sleeping-big baby picture for quite awhile, and finally succeeded while we were at Mimi and Pa's house. I still think he's pretty cute when he's asleep.

Oh, and joy of all joys he's learned to climb out of his pack-n-play. Now what do I do for time outs?

Never mind... I think I've figured it out.

Of the many many toys Blake enjoyed playing with at his Mimi's and Pa's he really got a kick out of pushing around the little shopping cart. I found one at the dollar store and couldn't resist buying it. Here Blake is doing a little shopping right after his bath...

but before his pajamas.

Animal Training

We have a new temporary dog. I say temporary because I am trying really hard to find a new home for him. Until then, I'd like you to meet Barney.

He showed up about 2 weeks ago, and despite my best efforts nobody called to claim him.

Most people when looking to adopt a new pet ask if they are housebroke. So today I bought a dog crate so I could begin animal training.

This wasn't what I had in mind. However, I think it just might work. Time out anyone?

Blake promptly moved his balloon, keys, and pizza cutter into "his" new crate.

So if anyone you know is looking to adopt a new dog, please let them know that all my animals are now housebroke. Ahem...well almost all of them.
